Social Marketer's Tools, Tips and Resources

As a social marketer, how do you navigate through the myriad of resources and tools available to help simplify your social media work flow and operations?  There aren't enough hours in the day to keep up with everything that is available.  All you want is a better way or fresh approach to manage your social strategies, campaigns and tactics.

Today's requirements include the ability to better understand audiences, tailor messaging, content and social networks to those audiences, monitor engagement and actually listen and respond in order to build an army of brand influencers.  Insights gleaned from the analytics showcase which campaign, content and platforms are performing better than others.  This is where the art + science come together to fine-tune your strategies, increase engagement and nurture relationships with your loyal customers. It's up to you to select a rock solid solution to make you, the social marketer, the hero for your brand.

Two of my favorite social media management solution providers have now become one mega provider...Sprout Social acquired Simply Measured.

Built on user-friendly technology, Sprout and Simply Measured integrate across a number of social networks to offer actionable insights from social data. Both are Twitter Official Partners, with Sprout representing an elite set of companies who have been recognized by Twitter because of their exceptional products and proven success on the platform. Simply Measured provides an arsenal of resources to provide best practices and tips to continuously refine your social media strategies.

One of my favorites is "The Social Marketer's Testing Guide: Quality vs. Quantity." The guide provides ways to better strategize social marketing plans to hit the right targets, at the right time, through the right channels, and with the right content.  I highly recommend this guide if you are struggling to figure out will work best for your brand and your audiences.

Sprout Social recently published their Q4 2017 Sprout Social Index, which highlights "moments & milestones" in consumer's lives and how brands are weaving in that user generated content into their social strategies. Pretty insightful reading!
